The countdown is on: 50 days until the Dolomitencup

Swimming pool instead of ice rinks: That’s the current motto in this midsummer period. But it won’t be long before it gets really hot again in the oval ice rinks. In exactly 50 days, the 18th edition of the Dolomitencup will take place in Neumarkt/South Tyrol.

From 16 to 18 August, the Würtharena in Neumarkt will once again host a host of international ice hockey celebrities. That’s when the Dolomitencup, the infamous ice hockey preparation tournament that attracts teams and fans from all over Europe year after year, takes place. This summer, the classic event will take place for the 18th time.

The upcoming edition has a clear motto: Welcome back! With EHC Kloten (National League/Switzerland), HC Kometa Brno (Extraliga/Czech Republic), HC Pustertal (ICE Hockey League) and Löwen Frankfurt (DEL/Germany), four teams are coming to the South Tyrolean south to fight for the coveted trophy again after a few years of absence.

Top-class ice hockey is therefore guaranteed: Kloten and Kometa Brno will meet on Friday, 16 August, while HC Pustertal and Löwen Frankfurt will face each other in the second semi-final on Saturday, 17 August. The traditional final day of the Dolomitencup will take place on Sunday 18 August. Numerous spectators are expected again this year and the Würtharena is expected to be filled to the last seat. Tickets are still available for the prestigious preparatory tournament in Neumarkt.
